It´s now more than a month since my dad was rushed to hospital with a stroke.
Hundreds of never ending hours of fear, anxiety and worry have passed, and dad is now in rehab the second week.
He had started talking german already in hospital, where Mom & I were able to visite him daily.
Now out there we can only visite him on weekends- he´s too busy with all sorts of treatments and trainings and he complaines, that it´s going on too slowly.
He´s not somebody who´d just sit and wait, he´d rather be out there walking on his own than carefully wobbling around a table.
This is him still in hospital.

For a 78 years old Rumpelstiltskin he looks smashing :)
I think mom should not worry so much about him and what´s going to happen- he´ll be fine.

A month is not really a very long time after having had a stroke. He is doing great if that is all the time it is!
And...if he is already impatient... a good sign too. Good for Dad!
Whan my Dad had a major heart attack, my sister and I got rid of his apartment... we thought he was not going to survive. He rallied like nobody's business ...and then we had to find a new place for him... hahaha... luckily the first apartment we got rid of was on a steep hill..so we told him we wanted to find him a place to live that was on flat ground! He never did know what we did or why. He lived for many years after that heart attack and never had any more problems with it. But.. smoking for too many years finally caught up with him... and so did emphysema...

I´m happy and thankfull at the same time,that he looks so good, and that his spirits are up...
Guess in his mind he has been redesigning the gardn at the rehab already ;)
I´m sorry, that you lost your dad, but it sounds, that after this terrible heart attack you still had a many years together.
